About Us

Kiwanis History

Kiwanis was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1915. Our local club was chartered May 22, 1922, making it one of the oldest clubs within “The Kiwanis Family.”

Worldwide there are more than 16,000 clubs and 260,000 members serving in more than 70 countries. There are over 600,000 members when combined with our youth membership.

Fort Collins Kiwanis Club members are individuals and businesses who truly care about the young people of Fort Collins, and want to make Fort Collins a better community for everyone. We participate in the numerous local club projects; receive interesting programs at our weekly meetings; and share comradery with each other, while enjoying our lunch. Our members are persons of good character, believe in “The Golden Rule,” and live the standards of good conduct within our community. Several of our members have received local/national recognition for service and work directed toward others.
